Product Overview
IC sockets are great for prototyping and completed circuit boards. If you have ever needed to desolder a DIP component from a PCB, you know how hard it is to do. Especially if you are constantly removing and soldering in new parts. Simply solder one of these sockets in it’s place, and push your DIP component into it. Then if you need to remove the part you can carefully pull on it or slip a small screwdriver underneath it to push it out. These sockets use machined female pins rather than the leaf type pins for a much tighter connection with the component.
