Product Overview
This is an easy to use motor driver board that you can solder directly to the back of any compatible JGA25-370 brushed DC motor. The board is based around the DRV8251 H-Bridge motor driver, allowing for a 3.7A peak current and 4.5V-48V supply voltage range. This driver can be used for almost any brushed DC motor by connecting the two output terminals to the motor terminals directly, or through wires. There are also two helpful indicator LEDs on each control input line.
Use the driver by soldering the two oval output terminals either directly to the terminals on your motor, or using two wires. Then connect 4.5V-48V to the +
pin, connect GND to the -
pin, and connect two control inputs to IN1
and IN2
. You can use PWM signals on both IN1 and IN2 for motor speed control. Note that what motor terminal is connected to which output terminal does not matter, it will only change the direction of the motor if flipped.
This motor driver can be controlled with 1.8V, 3.3V and 5V logic (1.5V-5.5V). The DRV8825 has built in overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lockout to protect itself and the motor. The diameter of a usable motor should be 24mm and the terminals be 20mm apart at the furthest distance.
