SOIC-16 Test Clip with DIP-16 Adapter

These SOIC clips are a simple way to debug, test, and flash SOIC chips on or off a PCB. The clip is made for the SOIC-16 package wide or narrow, but can be used for SOIC-8, SOIC-14, or anything in between. There are 16 gold plated teeth that grip onto the leads, and plastic teeth that hold on to the underside of the chip. To use, simply squeeze open the clip and place it over the chip, making sure the plastic teeth are touching the PCB and gripping under the chip body. Please note that there needs to be some clearance around the chip for the clip to fit.

The cable is about 30cm long, and is 28AWG wire. The adapter converts the connector of the cable to DIP-16 that fits neatly into a breadboard. The end of the clip fits into the 16 pin shrouded header on our All In One ATtiny AVR Programmer, and is 0.1″ / 2.54mm pitch.
