USB-A 3.0 Female Breakout Board

This board allows you to incorporate a USB 3.0 (also known as USB 3.2 Gen 1) capable Type-A port into your projects. It breaks out each pin of a female USB-A connector to 2.54mm (0.1″) header pins. This board can be used with USB 2.0 devices which only use 5V, GND, D+, and D- pins that can be hooked up as follows: 5v to 5V, GND to ground, D+ to your device’s D+, and D- to your device’s D-.

Or you can use this board with USB 3.2 devices which will require all pins to be connected. It is important to note that TX pairs should not be connected to their respective RX pairs, as this is normally done inside the USB-A cable. Instead, connect TX- to TX-, TX+ to TX+, RX- to RX-, and RX+ to RX+. You can also access the connector’s shield which is electrically connected to both mounting holes. The board and port are capable of outputting up to 1.5A.
