Product Overview

This is the perfect board for making a handwired macropad or small keyboard. We kept this board very small so it can fit in as little as a 2 key macropad, and there are 10 available I/O pins so you can make up to 25 keys. This controller is also great for having screens, rotary encoders, and more on your macropad! STM32 chips are generally considered some of the best controllers for keyboards/macropads because of their large amounts of storage and more I/O pins compared to ATmega32U4 based boards. If you are a beginner, don’t be intimidated by learning how to use this controller, it is as easy as making a macropad with a “Pro Micro” board.

The STM32F072 onboard has the default DFU bootloader flashed for using it’s native USB functionality. There is 128 Kbytes of flash memory compared to 32 Kbytes on the ATmega32U4. This means much more keyboard features, shortcuts, and macros. The entire board is also very flat for small spaces, just 3.2mm at the highest parts. If you need a board for making large keyboards, you can find it here.
