Product Overview
This is a USB Hub with 4 ports designed for the FE1.1s USB 2.0 hub controller. It is like our Mini USB Hub, but includes 4 female USB-A ports and has some extra features. The upstream port is a female USB-C connector, and it’s D+ and D- pins can be accessed at the opposite side of the board. The extra features on this board include being able to switch from bus-power mode to self-power mode, allowing for up to 2A to all of the USB ports combined instead of just 500mA.
To use, simply connect the hub to your host device with any USB cable (as long as one side is USB-C), then connect your devices to one or more of the ports. Your downstream devices will connect to your host device and work as normal, turning your one port into four.
The board comes set in bus-power mode. To switch it to self-power mode, use solder to bridge the POW jumper, and then cut the “Disable USB Power” jumper. You will then be able to power the hub through the 5V and GND pads.
